Eugene Cubillo II

a.k.a. Eugene Cubillo is an alumnus of Institute of Fine Arts and Design at the PWU Taft Manila. He has participated in several recognized art competitions in the Philippines namely the 2001 AAP Art Competition wherein he garnered an Honorable Mention award. National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA-Philippines), juried prize competition Diwa ng Sining 2002 Awardee  with his entry "BOUNDARY Withdrawn". His work: “One on One po tayo” was selected as a finalist at the Sport on Paper and Canvas painting competition hosted by the AAP and Philippine Olympic Committee in 2003. His works have been also exhibited in various art galleries and art spaces in the Philippines. He recently held his first solo art exhibit at the OneWorkshop Galerie, "Mga Barahang Ligaw" (Wild Cards)- a collection of paintings/ drawings and collages on playing cards as his way of making a statement that the medium is indeed the message: life is like a gamble.  In addition to being a visual artist-painter, he currently works as a graphic artist.

Kulay-Diwa Gallery of Philippine Contemporary Art is a privately owned venue for artistic expression. It is strategically located within a cluster of progressive communities South of Manila. It has an independent exhibition area able to accommodate large-scale works, and a spacious garden ideal for outdoor programs, performances and sculpture installations.

Goals of Kulay-Diwa

To discover and promote the works of talented, young and deserving Filipino Artist;

To serve as a cultural outpost and make the arts more accessible to the fast-growing communities South of Manila; and

To foster cultural interaction and exchanges with the local regions and other countries.
